Well, since the forum seems to be getting pirated in this direction anyway... I'm actually working on two superheroines right now. (I'm working on a whole comic book cast of characters, but for some reason, my female characters are coming into focus more easily.)
One of them is Keaka Noe Okalani, Hawaiian for "Shadowy Mist of Heaven." In my comic book realm, everyone's being assigned to superheroic task forces and given codenames based on origin, so her reader-friendly alias will be Lulu. (from Honolulu) She's a victim of a childhood shark attack, and as a result, has two bionic arms. Her reflexory use of those bionic arms will inevitaby lead Lulu back to an old childhood love and some shocking discoveries about how many secret weapons she has at her disposal! But since she has no idea at first that her arms are actually weapons, Lulu's character will show quite a bladelust that never does take a backseat. She has three swords and six knives on her person at all times, all with individual names and uses. She reguards them like friends. She already has an enemy count of about six or seven, which isn't 100% clear yet, but close.
The other superhero chick is a 21-year-old Mexican wrecking-ball named Fabiola. In all fairness Fabiola is a pretty common Mexican name, but she's made herself notorious as "Fabiola de Jalisco." She's got a comedic list of superpowers inspired by the hot Mexican girl named Fabiola that I work with! Despite working in a grease-pit of a Mexican factory, Fabiola never gets dirty, she never sweats, and she always smells like roses. Always. She achieves this feat through odd glandular deficiencies and a repulsory field of gravity that surrounds her in times of great stress. Her gravity field allows her to run at extremely high speeds, perform jaw-dropping feats of acrobatics and punch things with unnatural force, without even breaking a nail! But since these superpowers rely on "Hulk-like" stress triggers, she's actually a very tiny, dainty, happy little girl throughout most of the day. Her own individal clique of nemesis is very small and campy, and her battles with them rely mostly on slapstick humor... but once the world changes and teams start being recruited, she shares a much more serious and vindictive cast of enemies with other heroes in the comic.
That is all for now. I'd like to write for a comic... Unfortunately, I have a TON of ideas, but absolutely zero drawing ability to bring them to detail.
Maybe there are other comic fans out there just like me... Maybe there are awesome artists out there who need help writing. That's basically why I created this forum. So please feel free to use this thread to post your cool drawings or ideas for comic books.
Maybe one day, this thread will spawn an extremely productive loop of PM discussions that turn into a new original series! Or maybe it will always be a fun place for comic geeks to share what they think would be cool ideas for a new comic book... Who knows what the future holds?
